- Does your dog keep you awake because they scratch all night?
- Do they drive you to distraction licking when you’re trying to relax?
- Is your favourite pooch starting to smell, or is their coat a little moth-eaten?
- Are you sick of washing your dog every couple of days?
- Have you seen the vet over and over again for the same skin problem??
If you answered ‘YES’ to any of these questions, you may be interested to learn about a new treatment option recently available in New Zealand called Apoquel.
Apoquel works in a unique way and is specifically designed to rapidly control the itching and inflammation associated with allergic skin disease. Most dogs will feel relief within the first day, some feeling relief within hours. Apoquel provides sustained itch relief. It is well tolerated, and has less short and long-term side effects compared to steroids (the current, most common treatment prescribed by Vets).
There are only 3 reasons that Apoquel can’t be used:
- a pregnant dog
- a dog under a year old or
- a pre-existing cancer
“We have seen some truly remarkable improvements in some dogs that have had bad skin quite literally for years”.
If you would like us to see if Apoquel could help your dog, give us a call on 0800 838 7267 to make an appointment. Should Apoquel be recommended, you may be a eligible for a one week course FREE of charge to establish if Apoquel provides relief for your dog.
Call 0800 838 7267 to book in at any of our 4 branches, Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puna or Papamoa Village.
