Pet Medics, is Tauranga Vets 10-episode reality show, which debuted Saturday, 3rd September. The show screens on TV One at 4pm, while also being available on TVNZ OnDemand.

The series, which was filmed over a three month period in early 2016, follows our veterinarians as they care for livestock, working animals and pets. Local film maker Paul Griffin filmed the series which was produced by Charlotte Purdy of Auckland-based Rogue Productions. Paul has been involved with a range of well known shows including Road Cops, Dog Squad and Boarder Patrol.

The show looks through the eyes of our Vets, revealing the challenges, heartbreak, and skill of the team who work with a wonderful range of locals, their pets, horses and farm animals. A dog with a gunshot wound and a calf requiring a blood transfusion from a cow are amongst the pets and farm animals featured on the show.

The series also provides a showcase for the Bay of Plenty with impressive scenic views from across the city and region compliments of drone assisted filming.

Pet Medics is scheduled for International broadcast, via a European production company who plan to show the series in the UK and across Europe.
